Meet the first batch of FutureNow 2018 speakers!
It’s about time to reveal the first batch of speakers coming to FutureNow 2018!
The conference stage would not be complete without a batch of world-class speakers & thought leaders joining us on October 24 in Bratislava! Innovators, founders, CEOs & TEDx speakers will explore how technology is empowering us and how it affects the Future of Work, Data and Learning.
Why we invited David? As a tech ethicist, David is the perfect person for deep tech discussions with an enviable outlook on all hotly-debated issues around Facebook, privacy, ethical design, digital wellbeing and what it means to be human in the digital age. He is a 3-time TEDx speaker who has been featured in USA Today, New York Post, The Guardian, CNN.com and BBC.com. He also founded All Tech is Human, an initiative to better align tech with the human interests of users and society, and is the co-host of Funny as Tech-a live show and podcast that tackles the thorniest issues in tech.
What will he talk about? David is really interested in topics that have been shaking up (not only) the Slovak cultural & political scene recently: fake news, conspiracies, freedom of speech, overload of conflicting information on the web and subsequent digital burnout. He is looking forward to exploring these phenomenon on stage and finding optimistic outlooks for our digital future.
Why we invited David? Because he is a refreshingly direct, impactful and funny speaker focusing on world of work: especially in the context of startups. His experience originates at the very epicenter of web technology, starting his career at Netscape working with Marc Andreessen and the team which essentially launched the internet to the masses. David was the first recruiter at Google in Europe, building out the organization from 100 to over 5000 employees in 7 years. He is the Founder and CEO of Talent Fountain, a boutique consulting firm focused on talent acquisition, talent management and startup culture.
What will he talk about? David will be one of the stars of our interactive discussion about Future of Work. He is happy to share his wisdom on finding the right talent for your startup and “mix” a meaningful culture. You can look forward to a lot of lessons learned, as since 2010 this „talent geek“ has collaborated with 60 emerging startups!
Why we invited Tim? Tim is the Founder and CEO of Cambridge Innovation Center. CIC is a really impressive project: in a nutshell, it operates the world’s largest facility dedicated to housing startups. It has served over 3,000 startups and tech companies, including Hubspot, Uber, Pandora, Square, Google/Android, Apple, Facebook, and Amazon. Tim has been named Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year and CIC itself has won numerous awards, including Boston Magazine’s “Best Place to Work” award.
What will he talk about? Tim has an amazing story of an incubator that completely tanked only to become a thriving and unique coworking space with several locations around the world — CIC. He will illustrate how his communities, working side by side, create priceless value (and fun): you just need the right people!
Why we invited Matteo? Matteo will join us equipped with numerous experiences from frog, a global design and strategy firm, which was included in 2017 Fast Company’s list of 10 most innovative design companies in the world. He helps clients deploy their product vision across the globe as frog’s Executive Technology Director. Matteo is the founder of successful Frontiers Conference and of Talent Garden Milano — the biggest co-working space in Italy which helps startups blossom.
What will he talk about? We will pick Matteo’s brain within our Future of Data panel discussion. As he says, there’s a gazzilion of stories to share from frog!
